Spring Ephemeral Woodland Flowers
Applicable Ages: Grades K-2
This program can be adapted for learners of all ages.
Program Description: Join us for a walk in the woods to see one of the most beautiful signs of spring - ephemeral wildflowers! This is a very special group of Wisconsin native plants that emerge for a very short time in spring before retreating underground. Learn why they have adapted to take advantage of this short window of time, and where you can find them in our local woodlands. Discuss key topics like seasonal changes, pollination, and food chain processes. Don't miss this fleeting springtime opportunity!
