Pumpkin Patch
Abundance. Raised beds in this garden boast a bounty of vegetables and berries in the summer months and ornamental varieties of pumpkins, gourds and corn from late summer through fall. Exploring the growing rows and watching the vegetables grow is a fun learning experience. Potato plants have pretty little purple flowers above ground and giant potatoes under the dirt in all different shapes. Asparagus is the first vegetable out of the ground, a self-seeding perennial; it grows spears that snap off for harvesting. Pumpkins and gourds take their time as they slowly grow bigger and bigger through out the season. Some of Our plants get a jump start on the growing season by starting them in the greenhouse and then transplanting them to the raised beds.
